Example for an Ethernet-Mux product label

The Ethernet-Mux is delivered with a product label containing an unique serial number and the product revision.

An example for such a product label is shown to the right. The corresponding device has the serial number 00003.00001, indicating it is the first instance in product class 00003 (Ethernet-Mux).

The revision string D02-R01-V01-C00 decodes to:

• D02 - Second device in the ethmux device class

• R01 - Device revision four

• V01 - Assembly variant one

• C00 - No post-manufacturing hardware changes
