The IOBus 4DO-3DI-3AI is delivered with a product label containing an unique serial number and the product revision.

An example for such a product label is shown to the right. The corresponding device has the serial number 00005.00001, indicating it is the first instance in product class 00005 (LXA IOBus 4DO-3DI-3AI). A copy of the serial number is also included in the data-matrix code to allow semi-automatic identification of devices.

The revision string D01-R02-V01-C00 decodes to:

  • D01 - First device in the lxatac_can_io device class

  • R02 - Device revision two

  • V01 - Assembly variant one

  • C00 - No post-manufacturing hardware changes
